About Us
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote women Democrats of Westchester County, New York at each level of their engagement in the political process. We will educate women and girls about cultivating good leadership skills and participating in government affairs. We will work to encourage women candidates (and male candidates who support our issues) to seek elected office and appointed public positions, and actively support elected officials who share our core values: equality, diversity and inclusion; economic justice; ending violence against women; racial justice; full protection for reproductive rights; and enhanced support for education, healthcare and the environment. Our activities include coordinating with various other women’s advocacy and interest groups to unify our message and strengthen support for women and girls generally.
All women identifying District Leaders are invited to attend our meetings and to become active Women Dems.
Membership is open to all registered Democrats in Westchester County who share our values.
Women Democrats of Westchester is an affinity group of the Westchester County Democratic Committee.
